DNA Sequencing Home Page

The DNA Sequencing Facility at Micromon offers a high quality, long-read service to both casual and contract-based users. We run a capillary-type Genetic Analyser to separate the fluorescently-labelled extension products. We can accept individual samples submitted in 1.5 ml tubes, or batch lots loaded in 96 well microplates, with pricing appropriate for low or high volume users.

We offer two key services: electrophoretic separation only, as well as a full custom service that comprises both the cycle sequencing and electrophoretic separation. Turnaround from the receipt of an order is between 6-24 hours for electrophoresis only, and 24-48 hours for the full service, dependent upon the time of the day that samples arrive.
